Dr. Kieran A. Slevin is an accomplished interventional spine specialist and visionary physician widely recognized for his dedicated service in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware regions. Dr. Kieran's academic journey began at University College Dublin in Ireland, where he earned his medical degree. He then advanced his medical education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology and Critical Care, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine between 2000 and 2006. During his tenure at the University of Pennsylvania, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, Assistant Director of Acute Pain Services across the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and Assistant Director of the Interventional Pain and Spine Fellowship Program. His leadership skills were further honed through his election to the Penn Senate Faculty Executive Committee and the University Council, where he advised senior university leadership on issues such as faculty intellectual property ownership, campus sustainability initiatives, and financial strategies during the 2008 economic crisis.
In 2014, Dr. Slevin co-founded North American Spine and Pain, a pioneering multi-specialty healthcare practice that has grown to employ over 120 staff members across three states. The practice serves more than 150,000 patients annually, offering specialized care in conditions such as degenerative and herniated discs, extremity pain, nerve injuries, osteoarthritis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, sports-related trauma, sprains, strains, and tendinitis. Under his leadership, North American Spine and Pain has established itself as a gold standard for patient care in Pennsylvania and its surrounding regions, reflecting his dedication to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
